My future sister in-law -- I refer to her as mini-sorinnie -- is a standout soccer player for the Washington & Lee Generals who are currently 12-1-1 overall and undefeated in conference play; their only loss was to last years National Title winner Messiah. A. and I were fortunate to get to see her play two weeks ago when the Generals blasted Randolph 9-0. (Had Randolph not had a great keeper things could have been much worse).Mini-sorinnie was an all-state player in high school and was honorable-mention all conference during her freshman campaign. This year her team currently finds itself #1 in Shut Outs which speaks highly of her personally, because she is a defensive player. Being ranked #1 at anything at any level of collegiate sports is impressive. So congrats mini-sorinnie on being #1. Keep up the good D because we want to see you play on Nov. 7. If you have never been to Lexington, VA -- home of Washington & Lee, as well as, VMI -- you should go. Its an amazing little town thats shrouded in history, picturesque scenery, and great women's soccer.
By the way her Generals won again tonight 6-0 and she had an assist. She's #23 in our programs but she's #1 in our hearts; and shut outs!
